Sustainability Vision

WAT fulfills its responsibilities towards people and the environment by focusing on sustainable development and value creation. With the slogan “You are in the power of this transformation”, it contributes to society with a business model that aims environmental improvement. In this context, WAT:

Focuses on the needs of the environment, business and people, supports gender equality, increases women's employment and provides equal career opportunities. It meets the needs of stakeholders with an understanding of decent work and diversity, and pioneers change by offering innovative solutions for society. It also conserves resources with energy-efficient motors and reduces its carbon footprint, improving production with global trends and innovative perspectives. WAT develops flexible and value-creating business models for sustainable and profitable growth and works towards realizing SMART goals in line with the SDGs.

Sustainability Governance

WAT integrates sustainability into every stage of the value chain with its circular business model. It makes achieving sustainability goals an integral part of its business performance, taking into account social, environmental and governance factors. In order to ensure transparency and coordination, the WAT Sustainability Committee was established in 2023 and the Sustainability and Environment CoE organization was structured, ensuring high coordination for integration into business processes.

Sustainable Product Working Group

The Sustainable Product Working Group aims to minimize environmental impacts while designing products that exceed customer expectations. To this end, it is responsible for reducing the use of raw materials, evaluating recycled and emission-reduced materials, implementing environmentally friendly alternatives by reducing the use of chemicals, and expanding the use of energy-efficient motors.

Sustainable Production Working Group

The Sustainable Production Working Group is responsible for preventing and minimizing the environmental impacts of production processes, establishing and operating systems that monitor these impacts, ensuring compliance with regulations and international standards, energy efficiency and continuous improvement of processes.

Sustainable Supply Chain Working Group

The Sustainable Supply Chain Working Group is responsible for auditing WAT's suppliers according to environmental, social and governance criteria, monitoring audit results, developing suppliers and maintaining their approved status.

Social Sustainability Working Group

The Social Sustainability Working Group is responsible for people-oriented business planning, training and development of employees, increasing women's employment, protecting employee rights and equality, increasing employee loyalty, diversity and inclusion activities and realization of projects that will provide social benefits.
