Salary System

Office Employees

At WAT, a job evaluation system is implemented based on the content of the job, independent of title and function. Our salary system practices for our office employees are based on a competitive and fair system. Salary policies are determined by listing job sizes on the basis of levels. Our aim with the salary system is to determine the total income of our employees according to competitive and fair corporate policies determined according to the current wage market.

Our employees are paid a total of 16 salaries per year, including 12 salaries and 4 bonuses. Also; A bonus system that varies on a level basis, compatible with company and employee targets, is implemented. The premium amount to be paid is determined according to the time worked during the year and the level of achievement of company and individual targets at the end of the year.

Salary System

Field Employees and Industrial Relations

In line with our industrial relations policy, we see unions as ’social stakeholders’ rather than ’counter parts’, and we take care to carry out union relations regularly and effectively. We respect our employees’ freedom of union association and collective bargaining rights, and we adopt as a basic principle the preservation of workplace peace through the trust relationship we have established with our employees and unions.

Salary increases are applied according to the Metal Industry Work Grouping System, which is the annex of the Group Collective Labor Agreement signed between MESS Turkish Metal Union. Wage increases are applied twice a year, effective from September 1 and March 1.

Working Hours

Our working hours for our office employees are Monday-Friday 08.00-17.30.

Although, there is a shift system for our field employees, our working hours are Monday-Saturday 08.00-16.00, 16.00-00.00 and 00.00-08.00.

Working hours may vary depending on the location and shift status.

Flexible working and remote working are available for our office employees. Our flexible working practice is managed as early arrival to work, early exit or late arrival to work and late exit, provided that you are in the office between 10:00 and 16:00 on weekdays. In our remote working practice, our colleagues can work remotely one day a week, depending on the suitability of their positions, in a way that preserves intra-team collaboration.

Side Benefits

Our field employees benefit from the side benefits acquired through the Collective Labor Agreement, as determined within the framework of legal legislation.

Office employees who start working at WAT become members of the Koç Holding Pension and Assistance Fund Foundation, which was established to provide additional social assurance and assistance. Membership to the foundation in question, is optional for our field employees. Our employees pay deductible premiums in amounts determined from their salaries every month.

Each of our new employees can start to benefit from a private health insurance plan, if they wish, with a portion of the membership fee being covered by WAT. For our employees who do not want to have Allianz private health insurance, Allianz complementary health insurance, which is valid in hospitals with SSI agreements, is provided.

We want our employees to be covered even in difficult times, and we insure our employees in case of death or permanent disability.

There are shuttle services available at three different locations for our employees to travel to and from the company. We also provide vehicle allocation or vehicle allowance, vehicle fuel support and vehicle maintenance practices to our employees, depending on their position or title.

 
 

Our employees benefit from the food service offered in our dining hall. We have a TokenFlex Meal Fee payment for our colleagues working in locations that do not have a dining hall, for the number of working days, and for our employees who work remotely, for the number of days they work from home.
